The Germantown Mobile DJ uses only professional equipment designed to provide great sound quality & reliability.
Professional DJs must not use home or low end equipment. However popular it may be for home or personal use, it is not designed to deliver the sound quality and power, the cool long lasting operation, and critical reliability needed. Your function must be remembered for cherished family memories, not because the "stupid" DJ's equipment failed or sounded like #$%&*! Make sure the DJ you select uses professional grade equipment!
E & W® P1000 and P2000 Power Amplifiers are used for their power output, and crisp highs and lows at all volume levels, whether operating for soft background or pounding out your favorite rock. E&W® professional amps are digital stereo units capable of up to 1000 watts per channel STEREO! That's more than enough power. In fact, these amps are actually operated at the lower end of their capability to assure cool operation and long life. Oh, remember that Germantown Mobile DJ always brings spare equipment. That means at least two of these "babies" go to every reception to assure that equipment failure does not negatively impact your event.
Peavey® 1050 Impulse Speaker Enclosures Peavey® Ultra-high performance from a weather-resistant, two-way (full-range or bi-ampable) speaker system that provides high power handling capability while maintaining a smooth, yet clear response. The elegant and durable trapezoidal enclosure is made of high-impact polypropylene with a metal grille. This system is comprised of a 15 inch Black Widow® woofer with a Kevlar® impregnated cone (with a specially treated surround) and a RX™ 22 two inch titanium compression driver coupled to a constant directivity horn with Sound Guard™ high frequency driver protection. 1000 Watts program and 2000 Watts peak.
Peavey® SP 5XT Speaker Enclosures Peavey® professional speakers and enclosures are renowned for their heavy construction, speaker quality and long lasting performance. Mounted high on rugged stands, these units deliver the powerful crispness to mellow tones required for the wide range of music desired today. They are 2-way full range sound reinforcement systems, each containing a 15" Peavey® Scorpion® woofer, a 2" titanium diaphragm compression driver with radial horn and an integrated crossover network. Each are capable of 250 watts RMS continuous program power (500 watts max. program).
Peavey® 115 International® III Enclosures are used to supplement the low and midrange requirement, but can also deliver exacting highs. Mounted on dollies (because they're really, really heavy), the International® III club speakers are capable of handling an additional 350 watts RMS continuous program power (700 watts max. program). They are rugged 3-way systems using Peavey's® best 15" Black Widow® woofers, 2" titanium diaphragm compression drivers with radial horns, and HT® super tweeters.

Sound Level Meter Why would the Germantown Mobile DJ use one of these? It's simple. We care about the comfort and enjoyment of your guests, and the success of your event. The last thing we want is you and your guests complaining about the DJ that played too loud. Bands do it too, even more so. What if your family or friends couldn't talk, or were annoyed? The medical and industrial communities know that long exposures to high sound pressures (decibels) can irritate or damage hearing. Well, it won't happen when you use the Germantown Mobile DJ. He will perform a sound checks before and during your event. The music will be for all to enjoy!
Full 10' Truss & Light System Bingo! No extra charge here! If the size of your venue allows, set-up includes stand and truss mounted PAR 36 color lights (8), an American DJ lighting controller for timed or "sound activated" light sequencing, a mirror ball for those special slow dances, large strobe and other lighting. The Germantown Mobile DJ uses ample lighting for your function, but not so many methods, gimmicks, and lasers as to drive you and your guests "optically nuts"! And, if you only want or can only have a small amount of lighting, or none at all, guess what? That's OK! Safety Note: We do not use fog or bubble machine gimmicks for safety reasons. The bubble machines use surfactants (soap) that cause slick floors.....we want no embarrassing falls or, heaven forbid, broken hips! Also, your venue's smoke alarms typically don't like smoke machines ,,,, nor do the facility managers.
